Tried to download an Episode of House tonight. Was greeted with this very disturbing message: "Sorry, this service is currently only available to MWEB ADSL subscribers. To link your MWEB account please update your profile with your MWEB email address and password."

WTF !?!?!?!?!?!

Yeah. It used to work with any ISP. Now you need MWeb. Why?

I PAID for the service therefor I DEMAND the service. In their sales pitch and contract they stated I will have access to the on-demand service. The call center agent last night insisted that the service is free - but how can it be when I now need an additional M-Web account just for this service?

And don't even get me started on "the uncapped" stuff they are trying to sell. I like to have a 4mbps line that actually runs at near full speed. I don't really like the 384 service - which is the equivalent of the M-Web service over 4mbps (Yes - I was also suckered into their marketing. Thank goodness I could cancel after the first month).

O - I need another coffee before I strangle something... The neighbors cat is looking like it needs a good squeeze this morning...

Cheers all

You experienced 384-like speeds on an MWeb 4mbps connection? Mine's running fine at the full 4mbps...

Appalling image quality

Don't bother with DSTv on demand, certainly not the streaming service - the image quality is appalling.

Tried watching today and started to get a headache and eyestrain in no time flat.
Everything is grainy and out of focus.
Streams fast enough, but really not worth the effort.

DEMAND !

....hop over to www.abc.com, that for example is a place with quality streams not the ****ty thing they have going on at dstv on demand

Well, I have an old M-web Analog Dialup account (for e-mail only) - no ADSL with them (currently with Imagine) - and I can log in and stream no problem...
Monochoice and M-web can honestly get f****d if they think I'll change to M-web ADSL just to stream cr@p content...I'd rather spend on a proxy and stream the US/UK content
