That might be true, but AFAIK the 2P's ethernet port is not connected to the motherboard at all (I'm speaking under correction, but I think I read it somwhere).

From what I know MC themselves didn't write the code, they got another company to do it.
MC have written the stuff for the last few decoders, and its clearly beyond crap.. so they had to outsource the job to a company that is more competent than them.

From what you know? What do you know? They bought the company that developed the new software... The older decoders used the Open TV middleware (3rd party), with DStv interface on top. This was the reason for many problems. The new software is completely written by the new company, acquired by Naspers.

Online content is coming to the DStv Explora, but older HD PVR decoders have inactive USB and Ethernet ports too

Going to laff my ass of when mweb throttles those Explora :erm:
