DStv Premium subscribers now get Showmax for free

That is the question. Would be a nice value add. I had opted for Netflix over Showmax because of Marvel content, but if its going to free, why not?

Just checked my updates and yep, update for Dstv now does indeed state as reported in the article. Maybe they sent out the update before the marketing department could announce?

(I think the news leaked before the technical guys were 100% ready to launch. Have to be careful about that checkbox in the App Store uploader which says ‘publish as soon as Apple verifies my app’).
 
At the price you pay for Dstv premium, they should throw in a case of beer as well
 
What about this hidden in the fine print:

"The DStv Payment facility will allow a Showmax subscriber, who is also a DStv Premium subscriber, to add Showmax to their DStv account. In doing so, the subscriber will get Showmax included in their DStv Premium subscription. This offer terminates 31 March 2019, after which the prevailing monthly rate for Showmax will prevail. "
 
It's for a limited time only I see some people claim as per the terms and conditions.

That being said, I'm too happy to pay only R 99 for the stand alone thank you. Can't be bothered by DSTV :p

R100pm savings for a year and a half is R1800 savings ;-)

at which time DSTV will send out their annual price increase of R100+ and say "but but we're giving you showmax for free" :D

Good for those who need it. Being a Netflix subscriber i'm not moved though
