I won't pay for DSTV it is a waste of time and money. The thing is they have alot* of useless channels! The shows they show are out of date, to much adverts and it is just better to watch series from other sources.

I would rather pay my gym fee than pay for DSTV and that's saying some thing since I use to be a huge couch potato.

I wonder why dont they increase it even more. South African consumer dont mind being ripped off.
Moan moan moan. Thats all you can do people.
SOUTH AFRICANS JUST LOVE BEING RIPPED OFF

South Africa is mos the only country in the world where companies make their clients feel lucky to be shopping with them. :P

Once you go overseas you won't look back

Mweb has a 1gig acc and if it runs out you are capless local they are the best ISP imo.

Telkom should start a "cable tv" service.

Ja, all of M-web's international packages come with free local only. Just make sure you turn off all the boosters and pre-paid packages. :)

and when you call M-Web to sign up don't worry about what the agent says. They are told to tell all new customers that it is only 10/20/30 Gig local. But trust me... it is unlimited. I've got the screen caps to prove it! :)

Anyone remember that this is how it was in the old days. Telkom used to cap everyone to local only before 2006/7. We actually went backwards there for a while.

Which is interesting ... 'cos M-web and Multichoice are both owned by Naspers, so I guess in a way I am still supporting Multichoice! :p

They should introduce a channel selection option, such as 10 of your best at a reduced rate.
Love and hugs
((^_^))

Apart from anything else, you don't always get the channels you signed up for either. My Al Jazeera News (406) -- the only real news channel on the EasyView bouquet -- recently stopped working, and my local DSTV outlet more or less shrugged and suggested I call the company. Not a prospect up there on my List of Enjoyable Things To Do along with sex, Lindt chocolate and learning of the latest Carl Niehaus fantasy....

OK, those are terrible. Why can't we have a sports DSTV for a lower monthly fee. All I want is supersport! The rest is junk!

Cos all those other poor crap channels would go out of business without the forced subscriptions. :p

makes you wonder how long they can maintain this archaic old business model anyway, huh?
