New DStv prices announced

MultiChoice has announced new prices for many of its DStv bouquets, which may not be good news for subscribers

The best financial decision I've made over the last year was getting rid of DSTV. In the end, I simply had to cut costs as I was unemployed and now that I've cut DSTV, There ain't no going back.

I can honestly say I see no point in DSTV at all. Sport is all online, movies and TV via nzb/sickbeard/cp - I guess the only thing that I cannot get is HD sport but R700 for that? No thanks...

I cut it too - other options available now. Monopoly of note!

Will Multichoice walk the Telkom path... Once more alternatives become available people will move in principle of not supporting a provider who did as they wish for many years.

Other than for sport, DSTV is pointless.... But for sport, the package is practically unbeatable.

Agree. I'm now only paying R20/pm for the Explora and next year DSTV will be paying me for it.

They should offer a sports bouquet for R199. Would not be surprised if they attract a heap of new subscriptions that would financially outweigh the fiscal loss from existing premium downgrades..

Crap quality and unstable as hell during a big live event. There are better channels out there. Cricfree is a last resort.

They know full well what the demand for sport is, and which sports in particular. Which is why 201/211 and 202/212 can only be found on the Premium bouquet...

They know full well what the demand for sport is, and which sports in particular. Which is why 201/211 and 202/212 can only be found on the Premium bouquet...

We all know the demand - but, it's the opportunity for maxing out the demand with affordability I propose, do you believe DSTV's revenue will undoubtedly suffer?

No doubt. I don't think that the amount of Kyknet viewers outnumber rugby/cricket fans...
