DSTV Rant Thread...

However I don't understand people who read fictional novels.

That would seem to be a leisure activity largely for recreational purposes. Even fiction can stimulate the mind and improve one's vocabulary while teaching one clever ways to murder one's cheating spouse.

Hosehead : I thought it might be something stupid like that.. the pattern was too regular to be anything done my Multichoice, or on your side...

but still?.. a crane?.. your signal must be on a damn knife edge to be effected by a construction crane.

Well all was fine and dandy until someone decided that they wanted to build a full scale replica of the World Trade Center Towers for their family of three, So between that, and Signal hill (an oxymoron if there ever was one) and the goddam crane. I find myself playing musical satellite dishes. Except when the music stops, the installer has placed the dish in the wrong place, again. Soon I'll be forced to mount my dish on a Flagpole from the apex of my roof.

I wondered about this... I just turned over now...

1 x new RANT email to be sent off to MNET.... and rebroadcasting this is NOT an option in my books....

FFS, useless damn monkeys, can't get anything right. What was supposed to be at 7 anyway?

what I don't understand is why the idiots are buying PVR's? What are they recording since everything will be repeated again?

we canceled DSTv a looooooong time ago, it's just not worth it.

If uncapped internet drops to R600 a month a lot of people are going to give Minichoice the axe.

Dude

One of the main reasons(if not the main) people have dstv is for the supersport channels. Not all the games are repeated on those channels.

whose the idiot now?

rugby is the only reason reason i still have mnet.. and the odd old movie that we never saw in the biscope/dvd shop.

most of what we watch now comes from the internet. so much more variety; stuff you don't ever see on dstv.

i read an article a while ago where dstv CEO was defending the number of times they repeat programmes.. something to do with the fact that hollywood doesn't produce enough hours of programming to fill dstv viewing hours.. what a load of #$#%!. they just need to look a little harder and spend a bit more cash.

With the economic recession urging us to tighten the belt, I called DSTV up today to 'downgrade' our subscription from the Premium to the Compact package.

We also pay the subscription fee for mr Blu's ex, so it worked out to just under R1 000 per month. Crazy! So I downgraded both subscriptions.

Someone is not gonna be happy, but if we have to pinch the pennies, we can't afford to be too charitable. From R 935 to R 400 makes a big difference every month.

I just realised the other night when I flicked on to the Travel Channel ....... that Tall Ship Chronicles (or whatever the exact name is) is STILL being shown. It hasn't stopped being shown since 2002 (the same season btw) .... that's fscking lame.
