Probably confusing balance of Africa with South Africa.R699 my ass - the CEO doesn't even know what his premium service costs...
I have DSTV for one reason to stream Soccer on my laptop. The alternatives Showmax Pro is more expensive unless I watch on my cell Another alternative which is much cheaper is Peacock TV but do not always get the Soccer I want so I will continue with DSTV Compact as it is the cheapest option for me at the momentDStv streaming limit will push subscribers away
The only reason DStv continues to grow and make money is sport and local content, Wayne McCurrie from FNB Wealth and Investments said.
Speaking to Business Day TV, McCurrie said MultiChoice would struggle to compete against Netflix, YouTube, and other streaming services without sport and local content.
MultiChoice’s excellent SuperSport offering has been the main reason most people subscribed to DStv Premium.
Yes, totally dont expect a sports streaming service to lose a lot of subs for the months where there are no sports due to an ongoing pandemic. Great example you brought there.$1.3bn loss for 2020, compared to $1.44bn for 2019.View attachment 1253866
DSTV will probably announce an add-on for streaming to additional concurrent devices @ R199 per device soon.
Remember, you heard it here first.
I've subscribed and it's worth it. You still get the Sky commentary during the race.I'm going to give this a go this year: https://www.formula1.com/en/subscribe-to-f1-tv.html#en-ZA
I actually hope not, I hope the will wake up and give people what they want... affordable sports only packages. It is just a matter of time for DSTV to be completely dead.
Uninstall and install v2.3.19 from an apk. That's the last version before the crapThey'll have to fix that **** app of theirs on Android devices first - refer "DSTVNOW app not working" thread
Someone can't read too good.R699 my ass - the CEO doesn't even know what his premium service costs...
I think that R699 is only for the first 3 months.Someone can't read too good.
MultiChoice is also offering standalone DStv streaming packages. Pricing starts at R29 per month for an EasyView subscription and increases to R699 per month for a Premium package.
The premium streaming standalone package is R699. Still freaking wtf!!! though.
