Dual Data Bundles

Hi there,

I currently have a relative visiting South Africa.

They loaded two data plans onto his SIM and told him that he can use the 512mb when out of 8ta's coverage, and the 2GIG promo when in it. Apparently he's suppose to make the switch between the two bundles in some setting option (I don't know if this setting is on the phone, or on some call center/web interface).

It doesn't make sense though, especially from what I've been reading on the different SIM modes (non-roaming, promo, and prepaid SIM).

So how exactly does he switch between the two bundles? His 512MB works, but whenever he's out of 8ta coverage, it refuses to Roam on the MTN Network.

I think it is not true. When Promo bundle is active, he can't switch to MTN using manual network selection, unless something has changed, 8ta please clarify?

Hi there

Nothing has changed. With the 2+1GB promo, you can only use the 8ta network. Please advise who provided this information so we can address this accordingly.
