Sentech musta failed at school, it seems they cant meet their deadlines...
 
I am a newish user and i am now getting worried that maybe i made the wrong choice..... Please someone convince me otherwise.....

Porky, currently the service sucks as far as broadband goes.
If you signed up expecting only a 24/7 56k connection, then you should be fairly satisfied.

It looks like there's going to be a BIG shakeup in Sentech land soon, and hopefully a few of the rotten fruit will fall off the tree so to speak. Once that's happened, maybe things will improve.

Thanx for that lewstherin.. the way i see it it can only get better or when the competitors arrive Sentech will fold.. at this rate anyway. And who knows maybe there will be more bandwidth for the rest of us that stuck around as there will be less users ;)

Lets put it this way, It seems to be as slow as ever now, BUT ive used it the way it was ment to be as well (yes yes, that was a looong time ago) and if we can get back to that, which I do belive will eventually happen, I will once again be very impressed.

I also have faith in the ppl working on the prob in durban, that it will be sorted out soon.

Proasm: Do you think the 14th will be the day?

Porky i must ask, who the hell in their right minds convinced you to go the sentech way??? If no one told you, did you not do research on it? Im sorry if it seems im flaming you but with 56k equivalent speeds im getting frustrated and have to take it out on something :)
To answer your questions directly: speeds are ***, service is ***, its been *** for a while now, THEY LIE to us ALL THE TIME, theres never official news from sentech posted about improvement dates, and when there are well, ITS *** and LIES.. all the lies!! Bad choice porky, /me thinks back to the 'magic august fix' claim. i cant even play my games anymore :(

Luke7777, the "lighter" side of things is cool and i expected these reactions...
Razer0, i must be honest and say that i have had good service from them and the speeds are not annoying me yet as i have been using dialup for so long the current speed to me is good... I do think it will start to annoy me but hopefully by that time they will have sorted out the "issues".
To answer your question i did do some research but at that stage the speed was apparently "good" (according to a *friend*) unfortuanately i did not know about this forum at that time....
 
I couple of us have some hope for the future i think so join the club.. besides with all these ppl cancelling we gonna get more bw (hopeful thinking again)[:D]
