Durbanville ADSL Users (Your feedback needed)

I see they're building a new "box" where my line connects. Lots of digging, pipes, concrete, etc. Probably VDSL.

Please note I have sent 6 different faxes to Telkom today, 1 to the presidency hotline and 2 to Department of communications

Contacted 10210:

Telkom won't re-report the congestion at our Exchange as they say it has already been fixed:confused:

Lino hasn't given up, it would be great if you guys could also follow up with Telkom. The more pressure the better

Cool. Will check again tonight. Please post what results you're getting with regards to latency.

My latency seems okay tonight:

Also starting to note slower downloads. Know there was IPC problem last night in CTP. Took 1h35minutes to download / update Steam which was 57mb.

Lost ADSL sync about 19h35, and extremely slow browsing after that.

Still...

Time for some good news:

After having harassed Telkom countless times for an answer. I received a phone call this morning.

Telkom are aware of the situation in Durbanville and have scheduled an upgrade for the end of May 2013.

Thank you Telkom

Hi. Thanks for letting us know. In which part of durbanville will this upgrade take place? :)

Woah, thanks Lino!

That is fantastic news. I just hope they stick to their schedule.

I will be honest I don't know this information. However I would imagine and from seeing with my own eyes they will probably upgrade most if not all of Durbanville

I'm getting so sick of this. Can't even stream a 240p video on youtube on a 4mb line...
