DVB-H versus 3G: DStv Mobile pricing and channels compared

Cell C's network is not 4G

kinda besides th point but anyways glad to see some competitive pricing with some decent channels , no doubt dvbh is the way to go , only pity is that we should and ould have launched this 5 years ago , yes 5 years ago. I remember we were one of the first countries worldwide during the previous soccer WC to be ready.ah well at least its here now , def gonna get me a handheld with my next upgrade which happens to be this month. I watched some S14 games this past feb on a nokia which was my buddies as he was part of their trial for the last 4 years (yes 4 years of free Supersport the lucky bas_tard)

Is there a map out there re coverage ? I know it works perfect in the cbd area and most surroundings as well.

So what was the S14 broadcast quality like on your mate's phone? Could you follow the game? The only reason I'm even interested in this offering is because of Supersport 1.

Yes, it's all around - I'm picking up Mnet and CSN (amoungst others) via my notebook's built-in DVB-T card in Cape Town CBD.

How long will the coverage extend, in cities like East London and stuff?

Will any DVB-H capable device work? If you have one that you bought in the UK, will that work or can only the ones they state pick up the signal?

i reckon im gonna get me one of these, Supersport 1/2/3 plus blitz channel, for R39 bucks and you can watch it in your car on the way to work, at work, basically anywhere, plus throw in the fact that we got the cricket and rugby world cups coming up next year and its basically free till april, so if you don't like it, don't subscribe. I also read that of you are a premium subscriber for dstv, you get free subs till 2012 anyway so no problems.
