DVR for Android Car Radio

So I have an older Android car radio system from 2016.
Thus far it has been working fine but last week the DVR camera died.
Android version 5.1.1
As this was a direct import from china, nothing is available anymore and support is non existent.
Original camera gave me 720P and quality was not too bad.

So now the question is would a normal USB camera work?
I think I would also need an APP to make the DVR side of it work?

Any of you have recommendations regarding USB camera's and APP's?

What does the current camera look like? Any pics available?

There should be inputs on the back of the radio for the camera.

Have a look, you could come right with a regular RCA (If it's called that) camera

By the looks of the pic, am I correct in assuming the camera is used as a dashcam. If it is, would this not work.
