SEACOM 1.2Tb, 80Gb lit
EASSY 1.4Tb, 30Gb lit
Why make such pitiful use of these cables?
i don't care for the price drop... i'm happy to pay the R1000 or so per month for my 4 meg uncapped shaped and line rental... but to have this unshaped would be great.
I doubt prices on EASSY will be much lower than seacom as it also has to recoup it investment but since telkom has a stake,
In the short term prices will remain as is, but in the long term we should be seeing another round of price reductions.
Don't get your hopes up too high though.
The whole scene doesn't make sense.Forgive me then if this sounds sarcastic but couldn't this have been planned and put in place beforehand??
The whole scene doesn't make sense.
SEACOM wants to recover their investment within the first 5 years of the cables 25 year lifespan. How can one do this with 10% utilisation of the resource?
If we are currently at 10% for both SEACOM and EASSY, why another cable, WACS with even more bandwidth and on top of it there is talk of a 4th cable.
Come on folks, is 1Mbit + 10Gb for R200pm asking too much?? That would be just up my alley
