So....

Is it only me, or did FNB just nerf the cr@p out of eBucks tiers?

I basically will be losing 2 tiers due to their new monthly criteria...

Not impressed -.-

And screw you for preferring a debit card to credit...

Actually it is the other way around, they prefer a credit card to a debit card with the new rules...

It's called "screw the consumer", by creating a loyalty scheme which is super-attractive and cheap initially, then gradually remove the benefits until the consumers are paying for very little

Jip, I don't have a credit card so I'm screwed. O well, gone are the e-bucks days.

Yes, got my suprise as well, dropping from about 13,000 Ebucks ( yes that is R1300) to 3400 ebucks this month was a real shocker...

thank you FNB - you just motivated me to start shopping again for cheaper accounts... ponders Capitec.

It is really not that bad , it is still best rewards program out there.

No bank gives you a free 4mps uncapped account.

No bank gives you the value that ebucks give you , speaking about the 40% off makro vouchers .

Only thing I Had to change is to switch my swiping from cheque account to my cc .

I dropped back to tier 1. I didn't own a credit card with FNB, only a cheque card. In fact I have no debt at FNB.

It looks like FNB will now reward you with eBucks if you go into debt with them.

since when is this? 40% off at Makro? never heard of that before, do got a credit card with them, maybe its time I use it......

Yup. Bought R3400 worth of stuff with ebucks makro vouchers, cost me R2040 worth of ebucks.

Yes, they reward you for generating revenue for them.

How is this unfair or a bad business model?

You don't have to get into debt to use a credit card, you can prefund one and use it as a cheque card
