If you can afford a house, children and you can afford medical aid and have time to complain on a forum then i seriously think your response is more out of sport then anything else.
cuz seriously the way people are going on about this increase one would think they increased it by 100%.
I really dont care about R50 personally... but I have compassion to care about OTHER people that are not as fortunate as I.
I am complaining about the rate consumer things vs the inflation rate vs salary.
in the last 2 years, my salary has gone down by R3000 a month due to the cost if things, and companies cant afford to give increases. My electricity bill has NEVER seen R400 a month.. double that to maintain a 2.5 kids family on a Quarter-Acre stand.... and I am a geek so I have computers running (since its my bread and butter)
I was battling to make ends meet with the rate increases, but now with loadshedding I cant make ends meet, as software CAN NOT be written without electricity. So eskom wants be to pay MORE for electricity I dont get.
R50 is nothing... but that R50 increase for 2.5Hrs loadshedding costs me R400 EVERY TIME
in direct essence, Eskom is costing me R450 every time they decide to loadshed me. (I hear you harping on about buying a generator.... and my response is - why should I guy a generator for Eskoms total inability to supply with electricity... petrol is not cheap.)
So, please dont come with this 'its out of proportion' .. go tell my domestic maid that I had to let go due to a direct consequence of Eskom.
That R50 could have made it a different story.
