Reason for the increase??...They "allegitly" received monies from their neighbour countries, now its cut-off and now WE have to pay extra, TO KEEP THE ELECTRICITY AVAILABLE!!!

in the end, their figure already was 14.2%, they just needed the public to relax bout it.

Come to think of it...The previous Govt ( up to 1994 ) really did a fantastic job with the infrastructure of this country...To think it could last 14 years with NO maintenance...now THATS planning...

eskom did a price increase about a year ago now again.
Why should we pay for electricity when zimbabwe gets it for free. a land that has nothing to do with south africa gets it FOR FREE!!! that is BS. We dont get R300000 per year like you do ok! shame on mbeki shame on nersa and shame on eskom F#%cking iodiots should WE konow pay for there mistakes i dont think so

I don't have R14,000 to put in solar heaters, I run a computer workshop - I need to have consistent, clean power - is that too much to ask?
Subsidise? ROTFLMAO I spoke to somebody at the Eskom office in PE and they told me there will be no subsidies on anything. Neither generators, nor solar panels, not even on solar geysers.
Eskom have just replaced Telkom at the top of my **** list! I just love this country - mismanage everything to hell, blame apartheid, rape the consumer for more money and give yourself a fat increase every year for not doing your job! Welcome to Africa!

Hey, the people who voted them in were lied to and deceived ... we have to show them the truth honestly and openly and ... we desperately need an alternative to vote for.
But ... any flipping governmint must be watched and controlled by the people they serve, otherwise they WILL make themselves verrry cosy at our expense EVERY time.
