No, that's the most that people will be charged on variable rate. Fixed rates are higher than that, I'm on 32p.
In October the cap is expected to go up by about 50%. If you try to fix now you're looking at well in excess of 40p/kwh

It's mostly battery costs. That will get sorted out over time with the enormous expansion of battery manufacturing capacity to supply the move to electric vehicles. Price and performance will improve dramatically. We are at the beginning of the innovation curve.

Nah, they will simply get it from those paying for electricity. Hence the reason for this increase. And, oh, by the way more increases this year and every year following it are on the way, whether one likes it or not.

There were talk that the DA might be considering this in the areas they run. So, you would not even need SARS. If the DA does this, it will roll over real fast elsewhere.
