Eugene Terre'blanche murdered

Physical ailment, having to do with the body which is perceived to be malfunctioning/imparied, and which can be objectively verified using a variety of biological lab testing methods for example x-rays, blood/urine/stool samples, etc.
Thank you for sharing the viewpoint

To you the mind is a noun, right? Interchangeable with 'brain'.

So when someone says to their 18 year old son as he walks on the front door with his dad's car keys: "mind you stay out of trouble," it means he should make sure he's taken his medication so that he behaves responsibly, like an adult, and treats others with decency and respect?
Wot??
Nothing like that, I merely drew a reference line from the physical to the mind state there.

I was a rebel, not at all into that kind of "discipline".

psyche: spirit

ology: study of

Psychology doesn't even believe in the spirit. They only believe in the body, that derives instructions from the brain.... a physical organ.

This is how they draw conclusions about human beings.... by looking at animals(chickens, rats, pigs), which historically-speaking were considered to have no soul.

We have to consider "the masses" - the mass system of the day is this. (In the west)

Er... what?

You feel it is in your best interests for those with legal privilege over you, to keep you in fear?

Yyyyyyyoh!!!!!

No man. I'm talking about those who are schizophrenic, etc., the bad health related issues. You watch too many movies

Lex, if a stranger walks into your property and towards you with a shovel or a knife in hand and begins barking instructions and threats, it's best you neutralise the situation the best way you can.

Grab a brick and aim anywhere on his body. This will create space for you to escape, and might even neutralise the threat. Those with guns are welcome to use them any way they wish in that situation. A quick qualitative analysis (since you're obsessed with formal procedure) would have told you in a split second that the person is a serious threat.

You think the worse the problem, the more obviously a health issue is the cause?

I think you and I aren't qualified to judge. Given how many are in the "industry", have to hope some are looking after our best interests, yes?

Reds-light.

Progressives, Social Democrats, Modern Liberals, Woke.

They'll do things like insist the Proteas wear pink at a day-night-game. Or that the AB's wear pink boots

Commies(reds) are more outspoken pinko's. More hard-line.

What are libertarians then? Blackos, brown ous, purple faces?

If it were me, who was threatened, I would be able to put that into words before it happened i.e. I should be able to distinguish between a threat that can imminently lead to my death, and a threat that is trespass..

You haven't mentioned much detail, in terms of what precisely makes you feel you have to potentially take his life.

In the US you would be in big trouble because you didn't even inform the guy he's on private property and you intend to shoot him unless he leaves immediately.

Is it because you think all criminals don't respond to credible, imminent physical threats, themselves?

The truth, speaking for myself, is that as long as he is a few meters away and is only holding shovel, I'm not in any immediate danger... ESPECIALLY if I'm pointing a loaded glock at him and can easily drop him in a second by disabling him if tries to come any closer/fails to heed my warning.

The response should be in proportion to the threat. There is too much information that you do not know in that first few seconds.

If he could be a threat to you, that's not far enough. You have to take action in proportion to the actual threat. Not one that might occur 30 seconds from now.

So, pointing a loaded weapon is a very effect way to de-escalate that particular situation. If he fails to drop the shovel and leave immediately, you then have evidence of a threat escalation. Only then can you do the same.... to match the threat/the amount of defensive force you will need to disable/nullify the threat.

If you kill someone, by mistake, by prematurely attributing motive where there is none it will change you as a person.... for the rest of your life, and if you believe you live many lives, you will probably look for reasons not to believe that any more.

You must be kidding, dude.

You would trust someone pretending to practice Medicine, even after they admit they have no test to objectively verify the illness for which they prescribe - by their own labeling - dangerous drugs for you?

Drugs that can cause increased anxiety, depression, aggression and suicidal behavior????

Yikes.

As the saying goes, watch the company you keep.

Danger doesn't automatically mean harm meant.

Drugs that can cause increased anxiety, depression, aggression and suicidal behavior????
Not a rule of thumb.

Sounds like you've had a studio touching incident.... but not my business.
/leaves the discussion point.

How about when you point out the lack of scientific, medical rigor, they ignore you/label you crazy, and carry on selling drugs on a mass scale to a captive, under-age sector of the population i.e. school kids?

Lots of shyte going on like that in the various professions. But it's still rare last I noticed.

Anyway, the Mod thread is more fun..

(Think Lex is maybe referring to the big pharma problem, agreed for sure but that's a whole other animal.)

I was talking to an old friend mine the other day.

He tells me 80-90% of the kids in the class his kids are in are zonked out on psych drugs. That's primary school-aged kids. State school. I don't know how much better the PPP schools are.

Sounds to me like SAns have a giant problem on their hands.... one they naively think is under the firm grasp and control of caring political leaders, in their communities (who take money from big pharma).

Anyway, the Mod thread is more fun..
Probably a lot less sobering, hey?

If you're interested in changing the status quo you may have to take some responsibility.

That is sobering. For sure.

Then again.... YOLO's don't need to look at causes.

YOLO: '[Not my problem if I'm not going to be around to see the consequences of my actions]'
