Euro 2012 Thread

Someone with more of a future in the England squad.

Hart is a good candidate I think.

i would still give it back to terry and yes maybe even hart

don't like keepers as captains. captains movement shouldn't be restricted....im not endorsing Gerrard either. he has not had a good season by any stretch of the imagination. i like parker as captain

its maybe abit more difficult to communicate but the keeper can see the game as a whole

Parker has the same problem, age isn't on his side.

***** that. I don't think Terry should even be in the side.

if he cant communicate it, whats the point of the view?

casillas Kahn buffon ?

terry for me is much better than that lescott and cahill

terry and ferdinand would have been my choice

Are u kidding? Those two are past it. Even your fans admit ferdinand has been shocking. Without vidic to make him look good he is ordinary. Vidic was always the stronger defender.

that i agree on ..vidic is not english tho

but ferdinand did do well this season while vidic was off .....

That England team is average at best.

Lampard may have had a decent second half of the season, but his England career should have been over 2 years ago. Gerrard has played too few games to warrant a spot or even the captaincy. He has never excelled as England captain, for the brief spells that he held the position (World Cup 2010 springs to mind). Terry has had a bad season defensively- no chance he should be there over Jagielka.

Walker is injured, but Richards has been a beast for City. Much, much better than Phil Jones.

But to take donkeys like Carroll and Downing over players like Lennon, Sturridge (who has outscored Welbeck and Carroll, despite playing less games and playing out wide) and even Grant Holt (the second highest scoring Englishman in the PL this season) is typical Roy Hodgson.

Oh well, he picked Oxlaide-Chamberlain because he saw him play in the CL against Pirlo and Ambrosini at the San Siro, despite those players not even being in the team that played that game (Pirlo doesn't even play at Milan anymore...)

England better hope they don't finish second in their group otherwise they'll most likely be playing Spain.
