I received one of my orders from them today (placed on Friday afternoon). I'm out in Cape Town. This is perfectly acceptable.

However, I'm still waiting on an order which I placed a few minutes before the one that got delivered. Still sitting with them and no word about it being booked with Aramex. Emailing Sales, Support, and Admin proving to be pointless.

I've had a sales ticket closed by them yesterday with no reasoning or response whatsoever.

My Order from May 4 arrived yesterday May 13. So 10 days roughly.

The Courier Companies also make a big difference during this lock down period it seems.

Evetech uses Amarex.
My rating: Bad

Wootware uses Dawn Wing.
My rating: Worse

OnlyOnline uses The Courier Guy.
My rating: Excellent. Overnight delivery, seems they used airfreight.

Courier guy from my limited experience seems to be the only one using airfreight at the moment, all others are going overland.

Generic response from Twitter:

Code:
Hi there,

Apologies for the delayed response.

We are currently operating with a skeleton staff base and we are doing everything that we can to get to every single email and direct message as fast as we possibly can.

We please ask for your patience and understanding during this extremely busy time. We assure you that we will respond to your email as fast as we possibly can!

Our sales team is working to their best abilities to get through every email and query.

If you did not place the order online but instead placed the order through one of our sales consultants then you can come and pick up the order from our store.

Again, we are really sorry for the inconvenience and we thank you for your understanding!

My 2nd order has been booked with Aramex :)
I don't know if it were the emails or the Facebook messages that did the trick though.

Yeah takealot and wootware is quickest. Tested most of the major store.
Takealot was fine. But I had to laugh a bit at their courier vehicles. Here they outsource and frankly most taxi s are in better condition.

Serious question so flame me if I am stupid.

HTF do you place an order with them clearly stating "In stock with Evetech" and then a week later they email you to inform you that the supplier is out of stock after THEY told us that the product is in fact in stock.

Isn't it just ethically wrong to take money for a product they say is in stock to later say it's not.

Can't you just subtract 1 from the total units in stock after an order is placed? Can't be rocket science.

PS. Hopefully I should receive my single item order tomorrow but I am planning on placing a multi item order soon. Just not sure if it is worth the risk. Sorry for rant but I think everyone must be so gatvol of the bad service this country provides.

Not worth it. Order elsewhere. Saving R100 isn’t worth the 14 days of annoyance.

Not to mention the fact that it’s the only company I’ve ever heard of who charges their customers (over charging at that) to ship faulty products back and forth.

Often multiple times.

Not a **** would I buy there, based on that alone.

Exactly. I always test first and see how many units it allows me to buy. I tried adding 1000 monitors to my cart and it allowed me to do so  would expect a tech company to have a proper functioning website...
