Hi

The complex that I live in has a clubhouse about 50m away from my apartment, that offers free 24 hour wifi access. I pick up this wifi up until my kitchen window sill at 4mbps. I want to extend this wifi through to the rest of my living room, which is open plan with my kitchen.

I have tried a wifi extender but it drops the download speed to 0.13mbps.

Can anyone please help me with a solution.

Your best bet for stealing this Wifi would probably be one of those external Ubiquiti Unifi's.

And about a week after you've installed it, it will no longer be open or free.

Just pay for your bloody Internet.

Yup that's the one or at least looks like the one I've used before.

But I set it up as the "host" not sure how it would work as a client but I'm sure it should be possible.

You should get a asus rog repeater that will work. Just make sure it covers more than 50 meters

There are probably some clauses in the usage. I'm sure you legally can't use it 24x7, especially if you are using it from home.
