Has anyone else been watching "Formula 1 Retro" on ESPN Classics?
The series has been looking at F1 in the 70's... Year by year for '70 to '74 are the ones I've caught so far and its been brilliant. Rindt, Stewart and Fittipalldi as world champions with Jodie Scheckter, who was just starting his F1 career, popping up in the last episodes. They have found some fantastic footage of the "real" Kyalami as well... stuff I've never seen before.

It's amazing how different the whole circus was back then... Spectators walking alongside the track in Monaco during the races, 12 lap races at the Ring, Oxygen feeds to the driver's helmets for a little O2 in case of fire, Sunday morning races in Spain so spectators could get to the bull fights in the afternoon... Also a little sad watching drivers like Rindt, Cevert, Revson and Peterson 'cos you know what's going to happen and when it's going to happen.
19H00 daily, ESPN Classics... Really worth a watch.
