F1 2013 thread

Spa is my favorite circuit and the race that I would see above any other! Kick your friend in the balls for me to express my jealousy.

Monaco is second on my list so I'll be equally jealous of you next year. :(

I love, love Spa but if you're sitting next to the track I'd rather be at Monaco. 78 laps vs 44... almost twice the value. :D

As for the tyres, looks like they are going to change the compound slightly aswell as the structure. But its not very clear about the compound change..

The Italian company said after last weekend’s race in Spain - in which several drivers made four tyre stops - that they would make changes ahead of the British Grand Prix, but they have now decided to introduce revised rubber a race earlier, in Montreal, to bring the number of stops into line with their stated aim of two to three stops per car, per race.

According to Pirelli’s motorsport director Paul Hembery, the new tyre range will combine elements from the 2012 and 2013 tyres to achieve both durability and performance.

They need to change it, we all enjoy a bit of excitement but it's gone too far. Last season was perfect and pirelli may pull out of f1 shortly leaving f1 with a headache of note, considering the changes expected for next season.

Rosberg showing the ham how it's done again in practice, pity about their tire issues. Rosberg and hamilton could be mixing it with the top group. Even a change won't help them as they were one of a very select few last season who could not make their tires work and they are about the worst again this season, only difference is they have a one lap car that is really good so they start higher up.

I actually don't really like this race much, if the tires hold out then it should be round and round we go with no action. Granted it should be the most exciting ever though.

I love the romanticism of Monaco, but I believe I said last year that the cars have outgrown this circuit. They're providing ample evidence for that again today.

Jebus, Perez is a moron.

i dunno how they let him race, he makes for exciting television, but is a kamikaze pilot! Not really fair on the other drivers.

I think grojean was blinded after leaving the tunnel.

I think Perez is an idiot.

By the looks of it FIA just threw Pirelli and Mercedes under the bus. Pirelli is allowed to test tyres with a current car but then all teams need to be invited to make things fair, that didn't happen. Either way Pirelli really dropped the ball this year and their image is suffering.

Going to be interesting to see what happens, Merc to forfeit constructors and maybe even drivers championships? Or will other teams now also get the same opportunity.

Was a really crappy race. Am I the only one that thinks Monaco should be dropped or radically changed. These Modern cars are a bit useless. The drivers are not enjoying the races and if they don't, neither will we. Webber said after the race that the podium basically meant nothing to him. Seriously boring to see cars go around 5-10 sec off the pace.

Well, Monaco can't really be changed but besides, F1 as a whole needs radical change more. It really is in a sorry state at present.
