F1 2014 thread

Of course on MyBB no matter what happens, Hamilton will never be liked...despite him being supported by everyone including the only ones who matter...the team management. Despite him never doing something like that to anyone else on purpose, let alone his team mate on the 2nd lap.
When black guys are good at something , they shouldnt have a 'chip on shoulder'...they should just keep quiet and do their job...perhaps only sing a few slave or mining songs while they are working.

jeezis are u for real?

;)

He was looking for excuses to retire halfway through the race.

Like the time he started in the pits and finished on the podium?

Oh wait you must have been in the car with him, to know the car was race-able.

He was getting fastest lap times for most of the race. A safety car could have leap frogged him into the top 10.
He still my favorite driver but it p$sses me off when he complains about small things while clocking fastest laps.

Which "small things" are you referring to?

1. Wanting to retire the car early to preserve the engine for the rest of the season?
2. Mentioning that his teammate had hit him compromising his race as well as possibly the championship?

Proof is in the pudding.

Lewis always find something to whine about. We have seen this race weekend after weekend.

Nico gets on with things. Make no mistake, I race Lewis highly as a driver, but his off track behaviour is that of a little girl.

Oh come on! Hamilton doesn't know any slavery or mining songs. And besides I don't think he will sing anything while racing although he did joke around when he was doing a fast lap on Top Gear.

I think that was actually the sensible thing to do. He is extremely competitive and would not have said it is better to save the engine of his car was 100%. He would have wanted to prove a point catching NR

This statement has some sense in it. One thing, Lewis will not give up opportunity to grab some points, even if a few. Retiring would have been last measure but with a purpose.

But all that krap about NR doing this purposely I don't believe, he could just as easily have lost his nose and put himself into the gravel. Racing incident and should have raised no eyebrows.

I don't believe NR did it on purpose either. Like your day - It was a racing incident. End of story.

Nico beat Lewis, how it happened isn't reflected in the points and this is the show where the points Do matter.

Perhaps more singing and just saying 'ja baas' when the team mate deliberately bumps him out would make him a nice guy...in fact why stop there, swop engines with Rosdberg if his fails, give him your good tyres etc.

Anthony Mundine (ex NRL and boxer) has same polarity (or one sided hatred) here because he speaks up about things. People dont want to hear that from a successfiul guy who may have many following him....other patsies with no opinion (the song singers) are well liked...almost like pets you know...we like them and cuddle them, but if we had enough we put them outside.

Although the team management agreeing with Lewis that Nico admitted as much....
Link please. And Nico says different? Conspiracy much?

Never thought you were such a big racist... Take your tendencies elsewhere.

Feeling some guilt perhaps. Where is the racism for pointing out an example like Mundine, where I personally saw white Aussies abuse him and any other black person in pub that didnt agree with them...were you there?.

Hamilton's treatment by you racists is no different. You know you like - sorry 'tolerate'- them when they say the things you want to hear. Otherwise they have 'chips on the shoulder'.

Your racism is so engrained into the sub concious that you are not even aware of it. I had a drink with a well very known (and very 'non racist' ) south african over here on business the other day and in a conversation about rugby he referred to Ricky Januarie ..."that booytjie" i.e. Cape Coloured ...wow I thought, 'what am I'...but I knew he meant no bad in it, just it is part of his paradigm.

For many of you on here it is hard wired.

Not sure what sort of English you speak...'much'??? 'much' ? wtf is that?

Anyway you cant use google, here is one example

You don’t try to overtake with the knife between your teeth on lap number two and damage both cars,” said Mercedes’ executive director, Toto Wolff. “I tell you this is absolutely unacceptable. We have two drivers crashing into each other. Absolutely unbelievable. There is one rule: you don’t crash into each other.”

Niki Lauda, the team’s non-executive chairman, was, as ever, equally outspoken. “It is unacceptable that in the second lap Nico hit Lewis, completely unacceptable,” he said. “If these things happen at the end of the race, when they are fighting for the win, then you discuss it but in the second lap to hand the victory to Red Bull? I thought they were clever enough to know that but obviously they aren’t.”

Clever or not, it is Mercedes’ handling of their drivers that is being called into question. They had already held one team meeting with their drivers on Thursday to clear the air and settle matters after Hamilton ignored team orders and did not let Rosberg past at the previous race in Hungary. After which all was declared well within the team.

However Hamilton said on Sunday that it had not gone as expected. “It’s interesting because we had that meeting on Thursday and Nico expressed how angry he was – I was thinking ‘It’s been three weeks and you’ve been lingering?’” he said. “He expressed how angry he was, he literally sat there and said how angry he was to Toto and Paddy [Lowe, technical director] but I thought we should be good after that and then this result. It’s interesting.”

Clearly the talks had not been quite constructive enough. The pair, who have known each other since they were 13 and were friends while racing when younger, have become more combative as the season has progressed, particularly since going wheel-to-wheel at Bahrain in April and it became clear the fight for the title was between them.

Mercedes, who understand the weight of missing out on a highly likely one-two finish, promptly called another meeting immediately after the race – of which Hamilton, at least, is clearly tiring. On the team’s admonishment of Rosberg he said: “It reminds me of being at school … teachers will talk but they don’t do nothing. You just get a detention. They won’t even do that. There’s nothing you can do.”

Wolff did, however, hint at taking action. “Today we’ve seen the limits of the slap on the wrist,” he said. “Maybe the slap on the wrist is not enough. If Lewis has said that it’s going to be a slap on the wrist and that there’s going to be no consequence, then he’s not aware of what consequences we can implement.”
