Race direction was good too. Resisted the red flag and seemed consistent for the most part.
Good point. The yellow flag for the Alonso/Stroll incident was thrown instantly and probably the fastest this year.

And while the stewards opted not to act in the case of Perez’s car, Alonso’s Alpine A522 was deemed to have been in an unsafe condition following the crash – with a 30-second post-race penalty imposed on Alonso

FIA, you total idiots.

Alpine have protested the protest saying Haas lodged it 24 mins after the deadline.

They're also arguing that they should have received a black and orange flag during the race if the car was unsafe.

4. It was noted that the Protest was lodged 24 minutes out of time however the Stewards, exercising their power under Article 13.3.5 of the International Sporting Code, determined that the compliance with the deadline was not possible in this case and that the Protest was admissible.

Seems like the Stewards don't care about that.

Clearly yes, it has to be true as Ferrari won the constructers championship last night with a massive margin.

That thing is a rocket ship on the straights, but a massive straight speed advantage isn't dominant at all.
Is it was all about straight line speed they'd be building dragsters

I disagree if that partner had been HAM.
They are both brilliant drivers and in equal cars would be close, but HAM has the advantage of experience having already won 7 titles.

HAM is behind in points to RUS, and RUS has half the experience in F1 to VER at this point.
HAM hasn't been the same since he got covid really.

Damn corrupt mofos... So Checo was just allowed to drive around with things flying off his car? But one of the drivers (name I can't remember) in a previous race, was given a black and orange flag, and had to pit? F1 has turned into a bit of a farce now

I think ironically the piece falling off is what saved PER. Once it broke off there was no more danger so no need to fix anything. I do think the penalty to Alonso was unfair without the race director/stewards flagging him during the race.

You are wrong. Looking at the points alone, yes RUS looks better than HAM, but really HAM is a better driver than RUS still.

Most of the year HAM was experimenting and giving up his points to help MB figure out whats wrong with their car. Only now at the end he is giving it everything to get highest finishing position and you can clearly see he is a better driver. I am no HAM fan but will give credit where it is due.

His tyres apparently gave up. I find that odd though, he pitted at the same time as Max.

Perhaps ran out of talent?
They did.

The F1-75's ideal setup is as low as possible. After TD39 came into affecting forcing the F1-75 cars to be setup higher, they are not in their optimal setup anymore and this causes the car to eat the tires much quicker than earlier this year. You can have the best talent, when this happen you stuck.

The RB18's ideal setup is a bit higher from the ground and so TD39 didn't affect it at all, which is why it looks so dominant right now, because the car is softer on it's tyres than the F1-75.

Don't believe this, look at when Ferrari's performance stopped and you will see it lines up with TD39. Basically, because of the battle between Max and Charlie, he couldn't look better after his tyres and they went even faster than normally.

He hasn't been the same since his car hasn't been the absolute best (and no real competition in the hybrid era) and he was able to watch what happened in his rearview mirrors.
RBR have surpassed them and Ferrari are also quicker.

Russel as well, that was a bit of a shitshow. Russel,Alonso and Checo should've all gotten that dreaded flag tbh.

I doubt that. Have you heard Hamilton's rants on the radio? That doesn't sound like a 7x WDC who has taken on the "research driver" role for 2022. Not at all.

I agree with @Tinuva - It's pretty clear why HAM is trailing by 20 points. Most has had to do with luck but add the fact that HAM for the first half of the season was the guinea pig and carrying additional weight where RUS was the control and there's really nothing in it.

What you've heard on radio and broadcast feed is just a tiny fraction of the communication.
