Not F1 but the other bad accident of the day (1m45s)
 
So you loose the lead at the start, luckily you get a second chance.
Then you cant handle the pressure(again), go of track and loose the lead again.
Then you are so slow that you mess up your much faster teammates race. Yes a teammate with a damaged front wing.
Then when you behind your teammate you complain he is too fast and you cant stay in DRS, probably want team to tell teammate to slow down. Yes that teammate with the broken front wing.
Then by some Ocon luck you back in and ignore team orders and by some miracle win.

Vamos Carlos

At least Baas Leclerq still showed his class on that old hard tyres.

I think it’s due to the hybrid systems. There’s a light on the car that shows if it’s safe to touch or not. There was a bit of an issue in the Safari rally recently when a Ford crashed and the driver complained that the marshals did not help. But it turned out that the light was red indicating it was unsafe so they held back until it went green.

Charles was left out to dry by Ferrari, he was screwed over a bit.

In the interview, Binotto said he was giving Leclerck a pep talk to lift his spirits.... :unsure:

They had 6 seconds to respond between the safety car announcement and lec passing the pit entrance.

By the next lap he would have lost track position anyway.

Unlucky timing for him, but not left out to dry

Surely there is some level of pre-prep once an accident happen... they have way more data than we do but everyone was saying he should pit... I also think they had a faster car than Merc and could have challenged on track

How would it have played out if Le Clerc pitted and he was the only one to pit... there were only 10 laps left. Tough call. Double stack would have potentially put Sainz further back.

RUS trying his luck getting back into the race by arguing with the marshals was a bit pathetic.
Hope for his sake it was a Toto instruction to try and play the emotion card.

Well done Carlos, you showed some balls to the team and got the win.

Halo FTW as that was a horrible accident
