Now this is good race engineer, onboard+radio from Stroll approaching crash.

That's absolutely terrifying. No wonder Russell almost crapped himself, if that race engineer wasn't on it as fast as he was Georgie would've been toast.

I really think some people underestimate Sainz at Ferrari. He was better than Leclerc last season and has put in good performances. I dont think Lewis Hamilton will be that much better bar the experience.
Why? This was his first real win in 185 starts.
His first win he screwed his teammate and did not let him pass, just like many times before.
His second win his teammate actually followed team orders and backed up the field so Carlos could win.
20 podiums in 185 starts?
LeClerc has 32 podiums in 126 starts with more wins.
Oh and gets 3 times Sainz's salary.
He is not a team player and teams would not be standing in que to sign him up.

the rulling is clear shows the data to support the argument and more importantly shows there was no Malicious intent by Alonso.
Except comparing previous laps on how Alonso drove vs a lap where he was defending a position is a completely flawed approach and really is a terrible precedent for racing especially considering Russell appeared to have a wheel on the grass before losing it too.

Im not saying that he is better than Leclerc ovarall (He still did do better than Leclerc last season). But it is underestimating him to say that Hamilton will do a much better job. I do think Sainz will get a good seat next season where he is more of the constructors priority.

Since Ricciardo seems to be under threat from Liam I'd imagine Sainz might be considered a replacement for Perez.

How did he do better than Leclerc last season? Leclerc was 4/5 same points as Alonso, Sainz was 7th.
If You talk about his one race win last year. Yes Leclerc literally followed orders from the team to back the field up so Sainz could win.
I don't think except for a few die hard LH fans, that anybody else thinks LH will perform better at Ferrari, they just got him for the advertisers.

Chucky currently has an edge on Carlos from a career perspective but I wouldn't underestimate Carlos - he may surprise many this year. He does seem to be improving.

LH will most likely win his 8th there imho. My bet would be Ferrari have a rocket in 2026.

Yeah, if the FIA know what's good for them, they'll give Ferrari a chance in 2026.

Well, Johnny Herbert was one of the stewards, and Russell is a Brit, so...

Sure, yes. But JH was the only former F1 driver in that panel, so his opinion would have held much weight.

This sets a very dangerous precedent, as @quovadis said.
What's the dangerous precedent?

Don't brake more than 100m earlier than you ever have before, leading to you downshifting and then accelerating before braking again for the same corner, when there is a car 0.5s behind you who would not expect the erratic driving?

It's in the rules already.

Edit: I may be coming across as combative, I'm not meaning to. Genuinely curious about your thoughts regarding this.

yeah but lets be fair here. how many scandals has Alonso been involved in over his career?

if you want to go full tinfoil hat it should not be that Alonso is innocent, it should be that Alonso is guilty and somehow has protection from the top of F1. if only there was recently some sort of investigation that no one was happy with to support this argument.

and I am sure Massa has no reason to feel that Alonso needs to have a win from 2008 stripped away from him.

and I am sure Alonso played no part at all in the leaked documents that went to the team he was moving to in 2007 (no sarcasm here this time I do actually believe this one)

Seriously if you want to go tinfoil hat on this about Herbert, then you are definitely missing a much bigger conspiracy.
