Fourth DRS zone added at Singapore’s Marina Bay circuit: https://www.racefans.net/2024/09/17/fourth-drs-zone-added-at-singapores-marina-bay-circuit/

"... The new zone has been added between turns 14 and 16. This section of track was revised last year, cutting four corners from the layout, due to construction work at the harbour front....

The section of track which features the new DRS zone has also been resurfaced for this year’s race. Other sections of track between turns three and nine and turns 10 and 12 also have fresh asphalt.

In addition to the new zone, the existing DRS zones at the exits of turns five, 13 and 19 have been retained.... "

Tall poppy syndrome

I am biased as a McLaren fan, but they've passed all of the FIA tests so far. So everyone can suck it

calm your nipples...

its not the flex test, apparently there is a DRS type flap that starts to open up under high speed. However their engineers designed the carbon fibre to perform like that is a mystery etc etc..

The thing is, if the FIA says its okay for McLaren to have this sort of design of the rear wing then the other teams will quickly design their own versions by the time we get to the last 4 races or so, which will cut into McLaren's advantage.

My opinion is that if it's within technical specification and passes the tests used to measure such I see no problem. It's the same rules for everyone.

Any idea why Norris didn't use his P15 start to add an extra PU etc into his pool at Baku? Will he make it without having to take extra's?

Shows how seriously RB are taking their slowness. Bummer though, it's always good seeing one-off liveries.

Merc will at least be running a special one as a tribute to Petronas
