Stewards then can never win. A couple of years ago, I think it was Bottas that stuck it in the barrier at Imola in the wet and race direction threw the red flag. Almost immediately, Bottas got himself going and made it to the pits and everyone crucified race control for being too trigger happy with the flag...

Race is at 5:30pm SA time - moved due to Q being cancelled due to rain last night and happening now.

I'd don't think so. This yellow was exceptionally long. If I'm bored a bit later I'll check the actual timings once quali is done

Even before this weekend there's been a longer delay with such calls of late - it feels the heightened awareness/scrutiny of the timing has more to do with impact to fan's favorites than anything else.

Well we still get what I envisage but now we have, Hamilton, Verstappen and Alonso all climbing through the pack in a wet race,.
this could be an exciting race throughout the field today.
