Assuming Stroll slinks off to WEC after 2026, I could see a Yuki / Alonso partnership in Adrian Newey's Aston Martin working out pretty well.
Alonso will be closer to 50 by then. They're going to have to look longer term, not sure how much steam he has left...

I cannot see Alonso in F1 beyond 2026 unless he delivers a top 3 performance.

I doubt Lance is going anywhere. It's more likely they bring in an Alonso replacement when he retires.

Very true, very valid. Alonso has just been on the grid for so many years that its easy to assume he'd still be there in future seasons. The man looks tired, he shouldn't actually be there currently.

Tsunoda / Stroll for AMR in 2026? I personally doubt Stroll will continue in F1 past 2026 and I put that down to the stakeholders of Honda, Aramco and Newey wanting a better racer for his seat. This is in particular if we see a lot of driver errors in the 2026 season from Stroll. AMR want to be taken as a serious contender for championships by 2028 and I doubt Stroll would fit that vision.

More likely a Max... if I had to guess.

As mentioned in another comment, if you are going to do this then you need to do the same with Lewis (2014, 2015, 2019, 2020), Senna (88), Michael (02, 04), Vettel (2011, 2013), etc.

Good drivers tend to get good cars and then they do exactly what you should do in a good car; hammer your rivals.

Perez was a good driver. People are quick to forget that for a sustained period of time he was consistently the ''best of the rest'' in the standings. IE, the best non-Mercedes, Red Bull or Ferrari ('Big Three') driver. In 2015 the Williams duo of Bottas & Massa pipped him but that was when Williams were making exceptional use of the Merc PU and were regular contenders for podiums. In 2016 and 2017 only the 'Big Three' drivers beat him. In 2018 he was narrowly pipped by Nico Hulkenberg to ''best of the rest'' and in 2019 Carlos Sainz was the only driver not in driving for the 'Big Three' to beat him. Perez was no slouch when he got the Red Bull seat.

odd that he didn't respond to this... hmmm

people will remain sour about 2021 until the earth turns flat, they will then blame the driver for the FIA's decision... odd

I think people need to see the difference between rules and what drivers have done, Senna & Prost / Schumacher & Hill & Villeneuve etc etc etc

Excellent graphic showcasing the rivalry between McLaren and Ferrari through the decades
The scary thing is that I remember them all.
the first two pairings mostly on radio with occasional video highlights, the later two pairings I watched mostly live, occasionally highlights, on TV.
And a Mclaren Fan throughout.
