Former Ferrari Formula 1 driver Felipe Massa is seeking approximately £64 million ($82 million) in damages over his lost 2008 world title due to 'Crashgate'

The Brazilian filed a lawsuit against governing body the FIA, commercial rightsholder FOM, and former F1 boss Bernie Ecclestone after an interview with the F1-Insider website in 2023.

Ecclestone admitted that he and then FIA president Max Mosley had learned about ‘Crashgate’ from the 2008 Singapore Grand Prix, but decided to not take action to avoid tarnishing F1’s image.
Will be an interesting case and outcome. If he wins it won't change the official outcome but it will mean a declaration and handover a bundle of cash by the FIA and broader implications.

During the Mexican Grand Prix, Liam Lawson narrowly avoided hitting a marshal who ran across the track — a moment that could’ve ended in disaster. Thankfully, both escaped unharmed, but it raised serious safety concerns for future race procedures.

She told me, she reckons you must be a racing driver with all those skidmarks.
It's fine though, she says you make her 80 year old self feel young again. It's been a while since she's dated someone who doesn't wear daipers.
Geez an essay for whats supposed to be an one liner?
Then again she told me she had some Tylenol when she carried you.

FIA presidential candidate Laura Villars is suing the federation over its democratic standards, with a first hearing set for 10 November.

The next presidential election will take place on 12 December, with four people having announced candidacies – but only incumbent Mohammed Ben Sulayem will actually be able to run.

The rules require presidential candidates to put together a team of seven vice-presidents from each of the FIA’s six global regions, but only one person, Fabiana Ecclestone, is eligible to be a vice-president from South America. The Brazilian is on Ben Sulayem’s list, meaning nobody else can run for president.

Former FIA steward Tim Mayer withdrew his presidential bid two weeks ago, slamming an “illusion of democracy” and “ethics violations”.
The FIA needs an overhaul and this nonsense shouldn’t be allowed.

Max should have had a penalty, because if you put your car on the far-left and four abreast, it will go on the kerb,” the Sky Sports pundit said on the channel’s F1 Show podcast. “You can see Max actually accelerate – really skilful driving through the grass, I must say, but Max made no effort whatsoever to take Turns 1, 2 or 3. And that should have been a penalty.
Since when does simply going off track deserve a penalty?

There was a chance of him leading into turn one until he got squeezed.

He just hung on to that chance slightly longer than he should have which left him going off.

Then obviously he went as fast as he could once he knew he was headed off.

I'd rather watch drivers take risks and push the limits rather than follow each other round in perfect lines like AI.
