F1 - General discussion and 2017

Are you sure? If it’s 6am UK then it’ll be 7am SA, Sky Sportd F1 are also showing the race as starting at 6am UK.

Quali is showing as 7am UK/ 8am SA though.
Race start I think at 8am ie lights out. I think from 6 to 8 could be pre race build up

Japanese F1 race, is the one I always get wrong with time. I always miss it , or part of the race

Just to clarify for those being confused still... The timings from Agent_Smith is correct.

We are GMT+2

Therefore ..

FP3 @ 05:00am
Quali @ 08:00am
Race @ 07:00am

The above is the staring times, not build-up and the likes. :D

You could have just tagged @Icemanbrfc :p

haven't posted in here for a few races but I'm still following the races.

Is everyone also under the assumption that the championship battle is over from here? Vettel would need a huge slice of luck to recover IMO.

I remember Schumacher having a shot at his first Championship at Ferrari at Suzuka, did a great quali, then stalled it on the grid and popped a tyre in the race. Not a good track for Ferrari.

Remembers race from 1998.

Decides track is bad for team.

???

Profit :D

Vettel still going to be champion this year :D.... even though I feel he drives unnecessarily aggressive at times. If he wins all 5 he is champion, even if Lewis comes 2nd at all 5 as well.

Stroll should have been much more to the left, as he was entering a left hander, that didn't require him to still be that far to the right. If you look at the car that follows the incident, he takes that left hander, without any issues, and tightly tucked up around the curve taking it.

It was the cool down lap, most if not all drivers do not follow the racing line, and instead drive off it to pickup rubber before the car weigh-in.

So Vettel should have been more cautious.

Oh yeah, I do agree with you on one thing though, Vettel is gonna win the Championship
