On a serious note, I can understand if the FIA has been accommodating of Ferrari in terms of listening to what they say. They've been on the grid since Silverstone 1950. They're an institution of the sport, a global icon and the sport's most marketable brand. A successful Ferrari, is commercially, in the best interests of the sport. Red Bull, even Mercedes, they're never going to be Ferrari. They don't have that mystique. Even top drivers, they all talk about a dream of racing for Ferrari, including the new four-time world champion. Senna spoke to Luca di Montezemolo about retiring at Ferrari 4 days before his death, even though at the time the Ferrari was awful. Look at the names that have driven a Ferrari, its a list of legends. Fangio, Lauda, Gilles, Prost, Mansell, Michael, Alonso, Vettel, who's who of champions. And I think the other teams understand and accept this. Other teams have come and gone, including Mercedes, but Ferrari have always been there.
But I would not go far as to say that they had their success handed to them, not by a long shot. For example; Its not like changing rules to break Red Bull dominance meant giving Ferrari the blueprints to build a faster car.
