I'm thinking of passing by Game on my way home to get the splitter .. Might as well try that too
Once again, you'll need to give more info. Describe your setup and cable routing.
Mhh. my Sony TV has HDMI input ... I connected my decoder using that and have sound out (White/Red cables) of TV connecting to AUX on Sound System. I read somewhere it may have to do with PAL-I, but there's no such configuration on TV, and on decoder is set to that ...
What are the input options for your sound system? Is it a home theatre (multichannel) system? The HDMi audio is probably not scaled to left and right analog audio by your TV. Rather use the red and white audio outputs from your decoder into the amp...

If it is just a stereo system, better to run the audio cables direct from the PVR to your system (i.e. bypass the TV as QT suggested). If it is multichannel, then you should try to connect with either the co-axial digital connector or the optical (numbers 2 and 3 in the below pic).

If you read through the thread, you'll find the below helpful advice from QuantumTheory:I'm very new to online forums so excuse if my etiquette is incorrect. I however live in Villa Italia as well and have no luck with the technicians or Multichoice, I have the HD PVR and there is a problem with the signal! I struggled for up wards of three weeks to get it started, went through 4 decoders, Multichoice kept swapping them, eventually we got it working but even then it wasn't great, I was told it is because we are on the signal LNB cable system. It worked for 6 months and 3 days ago it stopped working 'Signal not found' is the error message. Since then I have taken it to Multichoice twice and it has worked there but not at home. Can you help?
Okay cool. You can give Ian Norris from Cape Satellite a call at 083 227 5720. He looks after that complex.
