Samsung has the ability to disable fast charging. I am going to disable mine seeing that I leave my phone on the charger while I sleep and also always plug my phone into the car everytime I drive for Android Auto...so it charges then also. Therefore I never run very low on battery. Aside from that, I also have the Protect Battery feature enabled which limits the charge to 85%
 
Didn’t realise Android Auto is the new Uber.

I reckon you can’t lose turning it off if you don’t need it.
 
Don't you need a specific charger for this? Fast charge on or off, the car's USB is not a fast charger?

Typically, fast chargers don't come with the phones.

They are a bit bulkier, and also have a more robust cable.

I stand to be corrected though, I don't have a Samsung.
 
For wireless charging I have fast charging turned off because I dock my phone into a wireless charger overnight

For cable charging I have fast charge enabled for those quick charge when you need it

You are corrected, Samsung charger even has something called super fast charging.

The Samsung A52s supports 25W charging and came with a 25W charger in the box I believe.

The Galaxy A52s 5G comes with a 25W charger in some markets instead of the lesser 15W unit the A52 and the A52 5G came with.

Thanks. The standard one that comes with the phone? Because all the ads I see, people complain about having to buy the charger separately.

I guess 25w counts as fast charging. I have a 45w and a 65w charger, not Samsung though.

The standard one that comes in the box.

This was the case for the last 4 Samsungs between my wife and I.

Where are people complaining? And on which model phones?

What could be happening on some of the flagships they no longer send the charging block, like Apple. I wouldn't know though I don't go for flagships.
 
Fast charging disabled and battery protect enabled.
Went from 85% charge this morning when I got up at 06h10 to 55% now at 12h58

my Pocophone F1 came with a 33w charger - my phone does not have a way to disable fast charging - i leave it to charge overnight every night - and its all still going strong - though battery life is deteriorating due to old age (not much to do with the charging habits) but the phone is probably close to around 5 years old - so if the battery dies i will just get a new phone
