Fastest Android on the Market?

I am gatvol of phones that take seconds to respond to taps. I have a Samsung J7 with not much on it and it is making me completely crazy. I want to know what I should look for when getting a new phone. Processor/RAM what? Anyone have a phone that is loaded with apps and is blindingly fast. I hate that stuttering pause whilst the sodding phone thinks about switching from one app to another. I end up hitting the phone over and over and finally threw it at a wall just now. I really cannot take it anymore. Please help me. I just want a phone that INSTANTLY reacts when I tap it. It must switch between apps FAST. It must respond when I click on a button in the app. I understand that sometimes it can be slow when using an app that is dependent on retrieving data from somewhere on the net. I'm not talking about that because that is internet connection dependent. But this bloody phone is ruining my life. Dual SIM. Plus external SD card that I can store media on. Any ideas/suggestions?
 
At this point I'm so pissed off that I'll spend anything :). Let's start at the top end and see what the things cost. I need it for business purposes so frankly if it costs and arm and a leg then that is just an expense I'll have to accept. I can't go on like this.
 
Go vanilla android, the biggest cause of performance issues is bloat, Samsung is king of bloat. They have hardcoded their software to lock all their own apps in memory which bypasses android memory management and prevents it from correctly maintaining performance.
 
Thanks for that suggestion. Can I just check one or two things in that regard? When you say vanilla Android, do you mean rooting the phone (someone told me I should do that already)? Although I'm a tech person, I've never really considered / looked at phones with a "tech hat" as I just use them for business functions. Or do you mean buy a phone that only has a plain Android OS on it? In which case, what phone should I be looking at? And can I still use the obvious apps for business ie WhatsApp, Skype, Gmail Client, Google Calendar client of some kind and various banking apps?

Rooting has nothing to do with it, you were misinformed.

You can look at flashing a custom rom, that will immensely improve the performance of any Samsung phone.

Alternatively Nokia, Google and one plus make Android One phones, xiaomi and Huawei come pretty close with limited bloat.

I think as far as true vanilla android goes, Nokia is the easiest to get locally
 
OK so the custom ROM piques my interest. Tell me more.... the techie in me is curious....

You will have to do some looking around on lineagos, otherwise xda. Each phone will have its own process for getting it done

+1 for Oneplus. I am still on a 5t, no issues with responsiveness.
 
I think I agree re the Android One / One plus. Much as I'd like to play with ROMs etc, I literally don't have any time spare. I just need to be up and running. I'll check these out. Many thanks.
 
Completely disagree with you about bloatware regarding the above phones. OnePlus doesn't make Android One phones but their software is really close to stock Android and their added software actually adds value to the experience unlike Samsung. Xiaomi's UI is known for its bloatware and ads and Huawei isn't really close to stock Android if you ask me.

As everyone else has said, OnePlus is the way to go. You can import a 7 Pro (256GB version) from Gearbest's for probably under 10k all incl at the moment
