Feedback from Cell C Concerning Affected Areas

Frequent disconnects and periods of no connection close to Cape Gate in Brackenfell, impossible to use. The same modem however works normal on the other side of Brackenfell with no disconnects at all.
 
Plano, Ron Reddick has promised to look into Cape Gate, Morgenster Heights issues... I too have been issues in the area... I got 5GB and I want to use it... the month is running out!
 
Boskruin, Randburg. Contant disconnects (0.00 kps). Always seems to work for a while when I first logon, then just fizzles out over next 10 to 15 minutes. Also use in Ferndale Randburg area and never had a problem so far. What the heck's up??!!

i am having the same issues as you and im in the Bromhof area....
 
Cell-C: Please add Braamfontein to disconnect list

I am experiencing disconnects in Braamfontein every 1–2 hours. This started yesterday.

Please help...
 
Cell C Speed Horribly Slow In Krugersdorp

I just bought a Cell C sim and R400 of data and I am terribly disappointed. The signal is at HSPA, but the speed is soooooo slow and the connection keeps dropping.

Did I just waste good money Cell C ?????:mad::mad::mad:

And to think I almost bought the R2999 special.

I think you are crazy to be honest with you spending R400 on data when you could of bought the promotional data sim card for R1000......

Have you tried forcing your dongle to use 3G internet connection only, use an application called "MDMA"
 
I also read somewhere on this forum, that your prepaid sim card has to be 3G enabled.

So phone and find out if you can get 3G (HSPA+) with your sim card.

p.s. Make sure your dongle/modem is 900 Mhz compatible.

Problem: Good speeds and connection up to 11h30, then no download. Only upload working. Been like that for last week and this while the signal strength is 95% Totally useless after 11.30 every day. Does cell c have a quota system now. Did they sell too many bandwidth and have to ration people now? Is this something like load-shedding? Huh cell c representative? I sent a complaint to [email protected] with one lame answer and the problem just continue. If u read the Cellc website, u will see what the difference between marketing and reality is.
 
Holy cr@p and here I paid R400 for 3Gb. My relationship with Cell C is not starting off well and the salesperson at the Cell C shop didn't even bother mentioning this to me.

We here to help we a community and sometimes we are more clued up than the sales people. Just go to your local CELL C and ask them nicely if they do have DATA Only SIM CARDS if you lucky to find one, if you do stay around Johannesburg, best place would be try out CELL C store at EastGate, last time I was there they had a lot of stock.

This was prior to the launch in Johannesburg,PE,DBN etc everyone has access to the 3G network but like madhawk said make sure your CELL C Simcard is provisioned to use 3G network, heard 1 or 2 people that had to phone CELL C Data desk to get their data cards sorted out and then "woooooosh" experience started.

I still think this feature is now switched on for everyone.
