Our fiber teams received most of the stock they were expecting for Selection Park, so they are putting in overtime to get the area live, they just confirmed that phase 1 and 2 might be ready by Friday or by next week, phase 3 is still awaiting confirmation of when it will be Fiber ready. .

Ok did get a visit from Vodacom. They want to install fiber to the home.
Area is not even live yet.

So just got word from a friend that chatted to a tech, Vuma has started installing. He has seen about 10 Vuma vehicles around the area at peoples homes. Also the friend that had his install scheduled for today, has it in.

Just got off the phone with vumatel.

Apparently They are busy with the final stages and there is no eta on when it will be live.
He said usually when the technical side doesnt have a eta its close to being deployed
At the latest it might be live in Casseldale is at the end of october

Almost feel i need to jump (back) to Vodacom just to speed things up. As they seem to be the only ISP managing to get the install done.

Vodacom can't do nothing till the fat lady sings. (Fat lady Vuma)
They can do the install but no internet.

After taking my early morning walk.

Found Fiber installed at my place. Will post picture, something wrong.

Image ..013 shows fiber present but they cant determine which orange hollow sleeve goes were.
Image ..02 shows no fiber.
Neighbour hollow sleeve was in same box going same rout as mine. They never took it out.

They completed the hollow pipe block. Fiber trough.
Patch lead needs to be done and splicing.
