I haven't seem them either actually - but I suspect it'll be months even if the fibre is in the ground? I have no idea.

Though, if you look at the first post, I saw them laying fibre 18 months ago outside my place.

yes drove past this morning and there is nothing going on in Bellairs drive, you are correct they did lay fibre already but it was not vuma and also not the entire bellairs drive only the Northriding side and stopped after the school.

also i received a reply from Vumatel on Monday saying fibrehoods a subsidiary of vuma will install fibre early this year. As far as i remember fibrehoods does aerial installations? I have a feeling the fibrehoods will cover the Noordhang side. I guess the waiting game continues.

So i am surprised no one said anything so far, there is finally trenching happening on Bell-airs drive. they are busy in front of my complex and the entire Noordhang side is covered with that orange yellow covers.

Only problem is they are also busy in Jukskei area so not sure how long this will take. at least the project has started.

Also dont know who the provider is yet.

i saw that yesterday at corner Hyperion and bellairs. wasn't sure what that was. the ones outside my complex has already started trenching holes in the ground like a normal fibre roll out.

So i see its Metro fibre that is digging up in Bellairs drive, they have the boards hanging on the side of the road.

I also see that they have started digging again closer to Bellairs shopping center. Why? because they did that already two years ago.

who will be the isp providers for metro fibre?

I haven't seen Metro Fibre, but have seen a couple of OpenServe vehicles on Blandford road... also GIO (not sure who they do installations for) working down Hyperion yesterday.

Got a call from metro fibre today wanting to chat to our HOA, seems like they also do the ISP part. They have confirmed fibre will be live by end April (holding thumbs for sooner).

I also saw open serve on Hyperion rd.

Oh niiice!

There are definitely OpenServe be around though ... What is the link with Metro and OpenServe? Competitors?

And Vumatel - according to their site - have huge interest in this area too?

103% On Vumatels website. "Ominous" looking partition running right past our complex (Belle Aire Place). Here's hoping our trustees or board members are over it like white on rice!!

I can confirm this.
I have it on good authority that they are approaching complexes to survey for installing the complex infrastructure

So we're going to have choice! Nice!

I've just mailed and got a reply from Metrofibre. They are definitely in the area and asked for my HOA to contact
