Fibre in Ramsgate

I see area is live on Frogfoot's website but still not live on the office's end.
 
Anyone else experiencing issues with their fibre line? All four lights on the ONT are green, but no Internet connection. Afrihost says Frogfoot is having problems in the area, but not according to their status page.

We had a brief issue with traffic in KZN affecting clients on various FNO's. The issue should be resolved now.

Yeah it was a short 30 minutes. I was also baffled as everything was green.

Also happy to report I had no downtime whatsoever for the 3 weeks I was home over the holidays so that's a plus in my book.
 
Dead since 08:30 here in Umtentweni.

@AfriNatic do you guys have any idea what caused the issue? Frogfoot notice doesn't say much.

This is the latest on the outage. Looks like it might be a break or pop issue. It's a partial outage.

@AfriNatic Sorry to bug you again. Frogfoot must have sorted it out in the early hours of this morning and I am online again and everything seems to be working fine however, the "Broadband" light on the ONT is flashing red even though I am online.

I already talked to your call center who refreshed me and I also rebooted but it's still flashing red.

Why does that light flash red? Anything to worry about?

Can you drop me a pm with your email address. It's possible that the optic levels are out of spec.

Seems my upload is struggling. Barely breaking 100mb.
 
Yeah link is degraded and portal shows ONT status as offline due to poor optic level.
Where will it be degraded? I just checked outside my home and see nothing. There was no problem here.

Seems to me whoever fixed yesterdays problem did so poorly and if the case they need to get contractors out there again and do it properly.

When I went to bed just before midnight last night I checked and the error was still on FF website. When I woke up at 6 and checked it was removed from their website which means they worked under flashlight in the dark and this is the result.

There was significant damage that had to be repaired. the team worked through the night to fix the fibre.

The fault I logged for you has been sent to maintenance so a team will make contact with you to fix the issue.

@AfriNatic Frogfoot tech just left my place and I'm sorted now.

He told me about last week's damage. Apparently some idiot putting in a driveway made a major mess.

Anyway, thanks for your help again.
