Fifa World Cup 2026

Official team photo of Norway for the World Cup.

This is spectacular—and NOT AI. The Norwegian national team unveiled its official pre-World Cup photo. Everyone is dressed as Vikings, set against a backdrop that evokes that era.

Photographer David Yarrow said the players loved the idea of taking a photo like this. They rented a beach near Oslo and staged the entire Viking scene there.

Scotland football fans say they are devastated as last-minute changes to travel permits could prevent them from travelling to the World Cup.

UK citizens who want to go to the United States for up to 90 days without a visa need to apply to the country's Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA).

But dozens of fans who filled out the form have said on social media that their application status had changed this week from "approved" to "travel not authorised".

On two occasions we finished with 4 points, and it wasn't like we were in an easy group, we drew with Mexico and beat France in 2010.

In 2002 we beat Slovenia and drew with Paraguay,, with Spain in the group.

In both occasions we were tied on points with the second placed team only losing out on goal difference.

I don't recall being allowed to bring bottles into the stadiums when I watched Spain-Honduras (Ellis Park) and Germany-Ghana (FNB) in 2010. I even saw security taking things away from people. At Ellis Park a fan brought a flag on a flag pole in and they snapped it in half, saying it was too big.
Yes I agree. Obviously the issue is that people will smuggle alcohol in this way.

But moronic news agencies and their followers will always see something shady in this.

This is how ESTA works...it is explained everywhere.

If you make mistakes on your application or do not divulge all required information, your "pre-approval" is cancelled and then you need to apply for a VISA.

But now it's all drama and tears and bullshit journalism.

If we can match those performances we will have a decent chance. Top two in each group plus 8 best third placed teams go through.

True but I guess it depends on prices of water and beer in the stadium, SA was very reasonable doubt US will be.

I still remember at Hatfield Square you could get a card if you were local and paid much lower prices than the tourists, all the students just used their cards to buy for tourists and you eneded up drinking for free.

For the people interested in Fantasy Football and SuperBru.

And of course people have already started calling it misogynistic, etc. They really need to get a life.

It has become such a desperate political and money making scheme.

Did you even go to any of the WC games in 2010? I did, and you weren't allowed to take any food or drink inside because the venue is only allowed to sell products of the official sponsors, eg: Budweiser, Coca Cola, etc. It's also why there was a blanket ban around every stadium that forced restaurants, cafes, etc, to close so that people would have to buy everything in the stadium.

Please tell me people aren't only now realising how evil FIFA are, or worse, trying to pin this on the US government.
