Fifa World Cup 2026

I'm just glad we didn't go out like this...yoh I would still be feeling it

Again great start but not able to keep up the momentum for 90 min.

I only watched the highlights of the Belgium-Senegal match and geez I was fuming. How did they bungle that?

Kane pulled the English out of the fire there as well.

How many African teams were done in at the last minute like that o_O

Senegal is surprising because they showed some serious focus and mental fortitude when they had to put up with a ton of crap in the AFCON final against Morocco.

African nations have definitely closed the performance/technical gap against the European and South Americans heavy hitters, and they have never been lacking when it comes to the physical side of the game, so it looks like they need to find a little more mental strength.

I just realised Romelu Lukaku has 92 international goals, ranking 5th all-time, and he has a higher strike rate (0.71 goals/game) than both Messi (0.61) and Ronaldo (0.63).

I honestly wasn't familiar with his game at international level because at club level it always felt like he didn't fully live up to the hype. He was immense for West Brom and Everton and had two monster seasons for Inter Milan, but when he was in the spotlight with Chelsea and Man United it didn't quite click.

He definitely plays better for his country than his clubs.

Since when is Inter not the spotlight. Was also good at napoli his first season.
Simple facts are at club level only Antoine Conte has been able to get the best out of him.
