File transfer from iPad to laptop?

My lady has an iPad2. How do you transfer media files to a PC or laptop? Does Syncios freeware work with the iPad2 and if so how do you get it installed on the iPad?

I use GoodReader. You can use it to transfer files via wifi either from or to the iPad. It supports SMB, AFP etc as well as DropBox, Skydrive etc.

Download iFunBox via the web onto your PC and then iFileExpress on your iPad from the App store, yup for free and you're good to go. Way better than iTunes, more user friendly too.

I find itunes to be bulky, kinda slow on loading and tries in a manner of speaking to take everything over.... Ifunbox feels like a windows file explorer environment....

I would also suggest jailbreaking your ipad if you are not on the latest ios.... Makes my pad much more manageable....
