Firefox 3

A large and growing minority of people have made the switch from the Internet Explorer Web browser that is bundled with Windows to Mozilla Firefox. Very few go back.

FF3 is def the best, but I stick to IE becuase it comes FREE with XP and since I bought the damn thing, I might as well use it.

I never really have issues with IE.

But I use FF at work and enjoy it :)

But surely if you enjoy Firefox more than IE then you should use it!

The only issue I have with FF are those god damn memory leaks. Has it been sorted out in FF3?

/puts foot in mouth
Best of all, most of the memory leaks that previously plagued Firefox have been fixed.
Should have read the article first :(

I'm glad they sorted out the memory leaks....it was the most irritating thing about it.

I have used 3 on Windows and Linux and it seems to use a lot less memory. I use Google Docs, Gmail and Reader at the same time in different tabs and it uses a lot less memory than IE. Also seems to clean up memory quicker...

as big a Microsoft fan as i am, Firefox is my browser of choice - IE is still second best after all these years!

You mean you're too lazy to install FF! FF costs as much as IE - IE is the inferior freebee... why would people use FF otherwise?
lol... I use FF because of these:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/

You have to love the add-ons... there is so so much to do...
IE is my occasional browser... I use it for the lame sites that don't work with FF
I believe the memory leaks are sorted out and it's faster!

free with xp, you dont think the 700-1100 bucks you paid for xp includes IE

last time i checked FF was free as well

I want it too! I want it too! :D
My Firefox uses around 50MB of RAM and I rarely have an issue with memory leaks. I hope they used Valgrind* before saying the memory leaks have been cleared up.
<*those who have done C++ should be familiar with this>

It's very much quicker and its memory usage is much, much better. They still haven't fixed the resume download issue, though. If you can, never use it for downloads and rather a download manager (the same goes for IE). FF of course is infinitely tweakable and the add ons are a major plus - unlike IE. I must say that so far I like FF3 a lot.
