More than 3% difference between national and provincial ANC vote for Gauteng.

Not all the parties that contest the national election contest the provincial election.

Also if you are not registered or not able to vote at your registered station then you can vote anywhere but cant vote on the local ballot.

Only 6.5% of the number of votes counted. Still a long way to go to say DA doubled their number of votes

I'm looking at the map and it could be that a lot of DA areas have not been counted yet.... its usually the other way round.

The 'High Detail' map on news24 makes me think about a game of risk. See DA just sent some troops into EC and won a battle there.

A small victory for me personally (as its the town / muni where I grew up in) is that the DA is leading in the Kouga municipality and its the only municipality in which the DA leads in the entire Eastern Cape!

My people have seen the light!

Relaity sets in when all the rest of the Joburg districts come in like Soweto.

Lol yeah. And like Risk, areas with fewer entry points and more surrounded by natural borders like oceans are difficult to penetrate - hence blue WC is still standing and getting stronger, while Gauteng has multiple entry points and more difficult to defend. I see the blue forces are making their entry in Midvaal, and will cut thru JHB onto Tswane...
