I have a Gigaset A510 VOIP handset, a fibre DSL connection and a Username/Password from MWEB Talk. I connect the Gigaset base to the router LAN port. My PC is connected to the same router. The router provides DHCP but I cannot see the Gigaset. I set the IP to static and enter the IP address as 192.168.1.122 etc from the handset but still nothing. I set it back to dynamic as it should work. I then try the Gigaset webpage but it does not recognise anything connected.

Where do I enter the MWEB account and password?

OK Some success. There was a connection problem to the router. I now have an IP address and I can access the Gigaset from the browser. It shows a list of providers for South Africa but there is no MWeb. What do I do?

Is there a generic sip account?

On a DX800 (also Gigaset) there is a option of "other provider" then fill the sip server ip in at domain/sip server, skip STUN (unless MWEB has that), and user name and password

Thanks. Found 'other provider'. It asks for Domain, Proxy Server Address and Registration Server. What are these for MWEB Talk? I tried sip.mweb.net in the domain but it said 'Registration failed'

I needed to fill 3 fields with the same, (the 3you mentioned), and port 5060, stun server not needed in my case, i can test my settings and screenshot it for you if needed.
