Hi guys. Okay so here's the situation, I purchased a FM modulator for use with my car stereo and I want to use my blackberry phone as a usb storage card to play the music from my memory card whilst memory card is still in the phone. I have the usb cable and have tried to use it but it only gives the option to charge via usb(which doesn't work as it says the source is underpowered). Now the only way I can use it is by removing the memory card and connecting it with a memory card adaptor which becomes a bit of an annoyance having to remove and replace the mmc all the time.

The thing is when I connect via usb cable to my pc it gives options to sync, charge and also use as usb drive.

I want to know if there's any way to use my phone through a fm modulator or perhaps there's a 3rd party application that can work? Nokia gives the option to use phone as a media player when connected via usb. Is there something like that?

My other option is to just transfer all music to a usb stick and plug it in directly. Just that I find using my phone more convenient.

Anyone else using a fm modulator?
Thanks for any help guys.

Y not get an FM transmitter that takes a headphone jack input, and just output the tunes directly from the phone? This way the phone does the MP3 decoding and playing, and the FM transmitter does just that... take the incoming tunes and transmit.

Doubt it, possibly bluetooth though..

Just buy a flash drive, about R90 for a 4GB.

I don't kno FM modulators, but why not buy a higher spec one, like the bigger ones with colour and ish? Maybe that'll work. Just purchase a 16GB for 200 bucks. End of story...

I think he don't want to waste/use his battery life. The scenario he was talking about was not involving his battery, just his memory card.

I have an RF modulator that takes a headphone cable. Works perfectly with my BlackBerry.
