FNB eBucks change backlash

Locally or Internationally?

Because you only get one international business class ticket 75% off in a calendar year. And that's if you had a 12-month period of R250k saved up, too. (Main Member alone)

Purple Wealth is the same, but you get two, with the same criteria met. (Main Member alone)

Locally, you can obtain 6 business-class tickets that meet the same criteria. (Can be used for family)

It's 6 local and 2 international flights with 75% discount. There is a 10% discount on all flights once those are used up.

If you are Purple Wealth, yes - and that's only on invitation from Discovery Bank themselves!

Not your normal Tom, Dick, and Harry...

75% is for the primary member alone... not the entire family when it comes to international flights - whereas FNB is 40% off the whole family internationally.

Me, I Never ever closed my Capitec Account. I will be seeing a Banker at Capitec and start moving back to them.
FNB just creates there self destruct Policy ........ Paying for doing an EFT on FNB are they crazy,
The Banking fees are utter madness, The Ebucks that they offer they can shove, I would prefer a Bank that looks after me.

For me, it’s not really about eBucks. It's kind of the sweetener that just represents a general failure by FNB to focus on customers.

The bank has been drifting for years.
  • It has an innovation hangover: too many services, badly designed, poorly maintained, and inadequately documented. I spent a few calls trying to explain to a person at FNB just how bad the user experience was for a key product. Silly me.
  • A gradual dilution in service and a focus on inept digital comms channels don’t warrant the account fees.
  • Basically, they have lost their touch and created the perfect situation to switch to a purely online bank... because there is nothing to miss.
They need to shift their gaze from shareholder value to customers for a few years before they have nothing to offer shareholders anymore.

It is kind of crazy. I mean the budgeting thing they are trying to push is absolutely terrible from a user experience. If you want to see a real nightmare you should see the "accounting" and "payroll" solutions they offer small businesses.

It is almost if they went through a checklist of functionality that must be implemented, have the minimum implemented by somebody that doesn't really understand what's for what and then just stopped.

Of course the app is an absolute mess.

Yesterday I searched for all the tax documents on FNB's website. It is not under the statements as they indicate. Yet the help document shows it is under statements.

I then used the app to download the documents. And it's not that easy to find them there either. You have to use the app's search function.

I don't care about their eBucks but I'm looking for an app and website that is easy to use. Discovery and Easy Equities were very easy to use and I downloaded the documents within 10 minutes.

What really bugged with that is they made it almost impossible to use 22seven/Vault22 with FNB in order to push that budget thing of theirs ... and it made it tough for the consumer to use either

What makes it almost impossible? I've never had issues. Just checked now and its still working.
I've had a number of issues.

FNB change something that mean 22Seven can't get the info and need to change their own systems to work again. Then it may work for 6 months and FNB implement another change ... and it cycles
