FNB Fraud!

Saw some posts on Reddit r/scams/ about fraudulent purchases linked to (un)authorized Googlepay wallets - seems to be becoming a more prevalent issue

more people falling for the your parcel is stuck story :-P

I mean probably an idiotic question but you know those SMS you get, about your delivery being stuck or whatever?
Now I've never clicked on the links but say I did - is it possible I've already allowed some sort of malware/ spyware on my phone? Or it their whole thing to get you to input your details, simply going to their site is not enough?

You clicked, didn't you... yes, you did!

Usually, the link leads you to the site to get your credentials, however, there are a few times when malware is installed by that very link.

The post office one? Nope.
The one promising big titty goth girls pics?

Maybe.

My CC was compromised somehow (Someone at Mr Price, Total Sport or my local fish and chip must be skimming or something).

My card was used for a taxi app in Europe. The FNB app is useless... I cant report pending transactions on my CC and calling the fraud line leads to long wait times... Just ended up blocking the card and called this morning.

Still waiting for a reference number for the case I logged an hour ago....

FNB is facking useless and the lack of telephonic help is really pushing me to move banks.

This is a Credit Card issue unfortunately, not Vendor specific
I can get behind that... but then if you send me the option to call the fraud line... then let someone on the other end actually pick up. I think 30 mins+ waiting with no answer to the fraud line is too long. Granted its at night but fraud does not keep office hours.

Yeah can't comment there, been a while since i've had to contact fraud, but generally I use the chat facility to do those things

... but the chat facility has opening and closing times. Had an issue with my card delivery and tried it in the morning before 8, it was closed.

Imagine having an issue after hours, their call line should be able to handle those issues 24 hours a day without keeping clients waiting for too long.

Ever tried to make a payment outside of business hours? Apparently their mainframes don't work outside of business hours either.

Online purchase? Because "Bank to bank" gets batched to Saswitch at night

Just crazy!

We shouldn't have to have these issues at all.

Is there nowhere on the app where you can turn the card on and off? Even Standard Bank offers this function. You can literally disable the card for abroad, and then different transactions locally too.
