No more working from home, or doing half days at the office and the rest from home etc. I accepted it as it was a privelege, not a right. They should do a study on what WFH does to mental health. Some people don't seem to handle it so well. Couple of friends who used to be fit, got quite fat as well. Mental health, I can just imagine depression rates have gone up. Although lockdown might have been the big killer.

Why it's not like they'll do a study on mental health going back, those of us who are introverted get told to suck it up cause the other people were going stir crazy.

Don't forget we've been doing it since the industrial revolution so it must be right... I mean medieval serfs actually worked less so why don't we just work like that still?

Not working reduced hours but all staff had their salaries cut by 25% because business dropped off.

There are various reasons for that, including atrocious forward planning by our inexperienced boss which lead to stock shortages and therefore to some of the lowest profits in the history of the company - founded in 1982.
 
Find it ironic how the guys who moaned coming back into the office early 2021 where all of the under performers.

It's 100% their fault I can't work from home anymore.
 
Other bcs it's complicated labour laws that can be brought onto the playing field, coupled with the added pandemic that brings its own dynamic (unknown). Each person's case would however have to be reviewed and a blanket approach might cost a company in the end (if the employee is clever enough to have studied their employment rights).
 
Just putting it out there that my wife can never WFH due to being an HCP :(

So there's a whole group of individuals who have never been able to experience this.

Anyway, she just got offered a job , which requires a country change. But she would make R120k a week and it would be only 3 days per week .

I told her to take it, hopefully I can then become a SAHD (Stay at home Dad) - not that she will allow me to.
